Introduction:
The stem is one of the two main structures of the vascular plant. The stem has two parts: nodes and internodes. Nodes are the regions of attachment. Leaves and buds are attached to this portion. In some cases, adventitious roots also arise from the nodal section. Internodes separate the two nodes.
