Introduction:
Bacterial chromosomes long circular single stranded DNA that are highly coiled and aggregate at the centre of cell, known as nucleoid. They carry genes required for growth and reproduction. Plasmids are small circular single stranded DNA that confer various functions to the cell but are not necessary for growth and reproduction.
