To describe: The sequence of events that occur when a muscle fiber contracts.
Introduction: Contraction of muscles specifies the mechanism of locomotion by which any organism moves from one place to other and also project the food to the alimentary canal (peristalsis). Muscles are connected to the skeletal system, causing voluntary functions that lead to changes in the position of the organism. Various chemicals released during the process of contraction of muscles enable the movement as the result.
