Introduction:
The basic working unit found in the brain is the neuron. Neuron is the specialized cell that helps in the transmission of sensory information. These cells transport information to muscle, nerve cells, and glands.
Explanation of Solution
The term sensory is related to senses. There are mainly five senses, taste, vision, touch, smell, and hearing. The other important sense is of body equilibrium. In animals, sensory nervous system functions to inform the CNS about the stimulus from within or outside the body.
