The formation of clouds
Answer to Problem 11RQ
The clouds are formed when the water vapors carry by air up in the atmosphere condenses and form tiny droplets. These tiny droplets, when concentrates in a region, form clouds.
Explanation of Solution
The collection of condensed water droplets is known as clouds. The mass of very tiny droplets of water concentrated in a region is a cloud. The water vapor carried by air along with it in the vertically upward direction cools and reaches to their dew point that forms tiny water droplets.
The evaporation of water from the lakes, rivers, seas, and other sources is the first step in the formation of clouds. The water vapor carried by air in the vertically upward direction condenses when it reaches to height, as the pressure and temperature decrease when air moves up. When the temperature of the water vapors reaches the dew point, they condenses to water droplets.
These tiny water droplets when concentrates in a region form the clouds. The color of the clouds is mostly seen as white due to the tiny water droplets present in it.
Conclusion:
Therefore, the clouds are formed when the water vapors carry by air up in the atmosphere condenses and form tiny droplets. These tiny droplets, when concentrates in a region, form clouds.
