Summary Introduction

To review:

The coordination of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) replication with cell wall septation.

Introduction:

DNA is designated as the genetic material that is found in almost all living organisms. It is first observed by Fredrich Miescher but its structure is described by James Watson and Francis Crick. It is a double helical structure that conveys biological information from parents to their offspring.

The process of DNA replication takes place in all living entities and it is the basis of biological inheritance. Through this process, two exactly similar DNA copies are obtained from the original molecule of DNA. DNA replication taking place during cell division, assures that each cell gets the genetic material in equal amounts.

The termination site of DNA replication enhances the growth of dividing envelope partitions or septum. This septum grows in an inward direction and involves the sealing-off and formation of daughter cells. This process is known as cell separation. The growth of septum that separates the growing cells from one another is triggered after the completion of DNA replication of the termination site in the parent DNA.
