Introduction:

Among the senses, vision is the most important senses for birds. Good vision is necessary for them for safe flight. Birds have the largest eyes relative to their size in the animal kingdom. They have several adaptations which give better and accurate superior vision as compared to other vertebrate groups.

Explanation of Solution

Birds have the largest eyes relative to their size. the bird has the largest eye in the animal kingdom. Eyes are located in the eye's bony socket and have limited movement within the socket. The location of eyes in the birds depend on their food habit. Predatory birds need to focus both eyes on distant prey, so their eyes are in the front of their head. In the grain-feeding birds, the eyes are located on the sides of their head which enable them to detect predators in any direction.
