Bacterial vaginosis, gonorrhea, syphilis, PID, NGU, LGV and chancroid are sexually transmitted diseases. They are caused by various microorganism such as Gardnerella vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Treponema pallidum, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis and Haemophilus ducrayi. The microbial infections are mainly diagnosed by the culture, serological, ELISA and PCR methods. They can be treated with appropriate antibiotics.
