A sponge is covered with tiny pores, known as ostia, which lead internally to a system of canals and eventually out to one or more larger holes, known as oscula. In order get food; sponges filter water by their bodies in a process called as filter-feeding. Water is drawn into the sponge through tiny holes known as incurrent pores. Gemmules are internal buds observed in sponges and are involved in asexual reproduction. Nemotocysts are found in cnidarians.A nematocyst is a capsulethat holds a coiled, threadlike tube containing poison and barbs.
