Introduction:

The two major groups of Euglenozoans have distinct cell membranes that appear in the form of array of discs after visualization under a microscope. These organisms have an eye spot which is light sensitive and propels these organisms towards the light. The movement is caused by flagella. DNA in the mitochondria of the kinetoplastids appears in the form of complex assemblies. The examples of organisms with kinetoplastids include trypanosoma which causes African sleeping sickness. Malaria is caused by a protozoan organism called as plasmodium.
