Fungi are eukaryotic, heterotrophic, multicellular eukaryotes (except yeast) and are classified according to their structure and mode of reproduction. Fungi are achlorophylous (do not contain chlorophyll and not able to make food). They are also heterotrophic feeders as they depend on other organisms for the carbon source. They are grouped under various categories depending upon the types of spores they produced.
