Chapter 18.4, Problem 7QC
Summary Introduction

To review:

Coronary circulation pattern of blood flow as compared to systemic circuit.

Introduction:

The heart is an important muscular organ of the cardiovascular system, which pumps rhythmically to deliver blood to the body. The oxygen and nutrient requirementsof the heart are supplied by coronary circulation, which is different from systemic circulation of the body. About 5% of the total cardiac output is received by the heart through coronary circulation. Systemic circuit acts between the heart and the whole body, except the lungs.
