Interpretation:
The difference between saturated and unsaturated solutions have to be explained.
Concept introduction:
Solution: Solutionis a homogeneous mixture of two or more components. The solute particles are dissolved in particular solvent to form solution.
Answer to Problem 88A
Saturated solution is the solution that contains maximum amount of solute dissolved in the solvent whereas in unsaturated solution the less of amount of solute is dissolved and more amount of the solute can dissolve in the unsaturated solution to get the maximum to form saturated solution.
Explanation of Solution
Depending upon the amount of solute present in the solution, the solution can be classified as-
- Saturated solution: It is the solution where maximum amount of solute is already dissolved and with addition of extra amount of solute to the solution, the solute will crystallize out from the solution.
- Unsaturated solution: It is the solution where less of amount of solute is dissolved and more amount of the solute can dissolve in the unsaturated solution to get the maximum to form saturated solution.
