Introduction:
The lytic cycle is one of the two cycles for bacteriophage reproduction, and the other one is the lysogenic cycle. The lytic cycle results in the destruction of the infected cell and its membrane if a virus replicates through the lytic cycle it cannot be integrated into the next generation of the bacterial cell.
