Introduction:

Calvin cycle depends on light as it uses ATP (adenosine triphosphate) molecule and NADPH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate). These two molecules are generated by light energy. Light also stimulates Calvin cycle by inducing pH (potential of hydrogen) changes in the stroma of the chloroplast also by reducing disulphide bridges in Calvin cycle enzymes.
