Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The skeletal muscles are independent, but they act in groups to produce coordinated control of joint. Based on their actions, muscles are classified into four types. For different movements of same joint a particular muscle can act in different ways. Since action of a muscle depends on other muscle action they are classified into different categories and they are prime mover or agonist, synergist, antagonist and fixator.
