Step 1
The PDZ domain is a small common structural domain of 80-90 amino-acids. It is found in the signalling proteins. The name PDZ domain comes from three initial letters of three proteins which are post synaptic density protein, Drosophila disc large tumor suppressor, and zonula occludens-1 protein that share PDZ domain.
