Weight of building, W = 1.8×108 N .

Force exerted by wind, FA = 950N/m2 .

Wind speed, v = 200 km / h .

Formula used:

Torque at the potential pivot point of the building that is at the bottom left corner.

   τ = (FA×height up to mid point) - (W×distance up to CG)

Here,

  τ is the torque,

  FA is wind force,

  W is the weight of building.

Calculation:

Substitute the given values in the above equation, the torque about pivot point is,

  τ=(950×100) - (1.8×108×20)τ=-3.59×109N.m
