Concept introduction: Spine is made up of vertebral columns and discs that form curvature. Spine curves help to reduce the stress from the movement of the body and its gravity. Spina allows motion in all three movement planes. The range of motion is facilitated by the anatomical constraints that differ through cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions of the spine.
