Summary Introduction

To explain: The consequences of loss in intervertebral disc hydration that accompanies the aging process.

Concept introduction: The intervertebral discs are articulations between the symphysis joints. The two main functional structures in the intervertebral disc are annulus fibrosus and nucleus pulposus.
