Concept explainers
(a)
To write:
Explanation regarding the recognition process of B-cell to its specific antigen that becomes trapped in the lymph node at the boundary of the T-cell and B-cell zones.
Introduction:
The B-cells activated in presence of the antigen and take part in the humoral immune response in association with helper T-cells. B-cells do not enter into the blood circulation rather they divide and proliferate in the lymph node and develop plasma cells. Typically, B-cells activated by antigen in the area of B-cell move towards the boundary area and in this area, they are assisted by antigen-specific effector TFHcells derive from the T-cell area.
(b)
To write:
The importance of trapping B-cells at in the lymph node at the boundary of the T-cell and B-cell zones with respect to B-cell activation.
