Introduction:
After being released from the bone marrow dendritic cells migrate to peripheral tissues. The immature dendritic cells are found under the surface epithelial cells of skin and mucus membranes. Immature Dendritic cells take up antigens or pathogens from the infection or wound sites and bring them to the T-cell areas of draining lymph nodes for the activation of naïve T-cells.
