Summary Introduction
The cardiovascular system is composed of blood vessels and heart. The heart is a hollow, muscular organ which is located between the lungs. Artery, capillary, and vein are the three types of blood vessels that carry blood throughout the body. The blood from the heart is carried to all parts of the body by arteries. Microscopic vessels that connect the arterial system with the venous system are capillaries. The blood is a return to the heart by veins.
