Introduction:

The pelvis is either the lower part of the trunk in the human body between the abdomen and the thighs or the skeleton embedded in it. The pelvic brim is a continuous oval ridge that extends from the pubic crest, pectineal line, and accurate line to the rounded inferior edges of the sacral ala and promontory. The pelvic brim helps to divide the entire pelvis into a true pelvis (lesser pelvis) and a false pelvis (greater pelvis).
