Whether the wavefunction ${\left(2/L\right)}^{1/2}\sin \left(\pi x/L\right)$ for a particle free to move between $x=0$ to $x=L$ has the expected dimensions is to be confirmed.

Concept Introduction:

The wavefunction of a particle is said to have expected dimensions if the probability of finding the particle between the dimensions is $1$. The probability of finding a particle is determined by integrating the product of probability density with the infinitesimal change in length for a one-dimensional box.
