Chapter 7, Problem 12TY
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Under normal conditions, the blood flows along the endothelium of the walls of the blood vessel. The break in the wall of the blood vessel triggers a reaction series known as hemostasis. This process stops the bleeding in three phases. Various molecules found in the plasma along with the substances released by the injured tissue are involved in the process of hemostasis.
