To determine:
The process by which the presence of incomplete penetrance affects the interpretation of pedigrees. Also, determine the possibility that it would more strongly affect the interpretation of autosomal recessive or autosomal dominant traits. Give reasons.
Introduction:
A pedigree chart includes the pictorial presentation of family history in the form of a tree from which inheritance patterns of one or more characteristics can be outlined. The inheritance pattern in human can be identified by the analysis of pedigree. There are different inheritance traits that pass down from generation to generation such as an autosomal dominant trait, autosomal recessive trait, X-lined trait and Y-linked trait.
To determine:
The possibility that it would more strongly affect the interpretation of autosomal recessive or autosomal dominant traits. Give reasons.
