To explain: The adaptive nature of optimal foraging.

Introduction: Locating, gathering, capturing and selecting food comes under foraging. The most optimum way through which an animal acquires food is called as optimum foraging. During foraging the animals makes the best use of their energy per unit of foraging time. Optimal foraging can be adaptive as it may help the animals to focus more on foraging time rather than looking for the prey.
