Introduction: Growth hormone is produced by the anterior lobe of pituitary gland. Growth hormone (GH) helps in stimulating the growth in vertebrates. An excessive amount of GH is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland in rare cases. This leads to pituitary gigantism, a kind of disorder characterized by increased height in an individual.
