Distance Traveled
The distance a vehicle travels can be calculated as follows: distance = speed * time
For example, if a train travels 40 miles per hour for 3 hours, the distance traveled is 120 miles.
Write a
What is the speed of the vehicle in mph? 40
How many hours has it traveled? 3
Hour | Distance Traveled |
1 | 40 |
2 | 80 |
3 | 120 |
Input Validation: Do not accept a negative number for speed and do not accept any value less than I for time traveled.

- Basic while loop expression. Write a while loop that prints userNum divided by 4 (integer division) until reaching 2 or less. Follow each number by a space. Example output for userNum = 160:40 10 2 Note: These activities may test code with different test values. This activity will perform four tests, with userNum = 160, then with userNum = 8, then with userNum = 0, then with userNum = -1. See "How to Use zyBooks".Also note: If the submitted code has an infinite loop, the system will stop running the code after a few seconds, and report "Program end never reached." The system doesn't print the test case that caused the reported message.arrow_forwardPython programming Write a program that generates a random number and asks the user to guess what the number is. If the user's guess is higher than the random number, the program should display "Too high, try again." If the user's guess is lower than the random number, the program should display "Too low, try again." The program should use a loop that repeats until the user correctly guesses the random number. TY!arrow_forwardUse C++ programming language.. Random Number Guessing Game Write a program that generates a random number between 1 and 100 and asks the user to guess what the number is. If the user’s guess is higher than the random number, the program should display “Too high. Try again.” If the user’s guess is lower than the random number, the program should display “Too low. Try again.” The program should use a loop that repeats until the user correctly guesses the random number. Then the program should display “Congratulations. You figured out my number.”arrow_forward
- Tuition Increase - MUST BE WRITTEN IN PSEUDOCODE At one college, the tuition for a full-time student is $6,000 per semester. It has been announced that the tuition will increase by 2 percent by each year for the next five years. Designing a program with a loop that displays the projected semester tuition amount for the next five years.arrow_forwardPython The month of February typically has28 days except when it is a leap year, in which case February has 29 days.Write a program that asks the user to enter a year. The program should then display the number of days in February that year. Use the following criteria to identify leap years: The program shall loop back to ask the user to enter another year. The program shall NOT display the original display message explaining what the program does If the user enters an invalid year, the program willdisplay an error message to the user and prompt for a year If the user enters 0 or hits return for the year, then the program terminatesarrow_forwardTask 2: Multiples Write a program that asks the user for an integer n, and then prints first 10 multiples of that integer. Use a while/do...while loop. Example: Enter an integer: 2 Output: 2 x 1 = 2 2 x 2 = 4 2 х 3 %3D 6 2 x 4 = 8 2 x 5 = 10 12 2 х6 2 x 7 2 х8 14 16 2 x 9 18 2 x 10 = 20arrow_forward
- Question: Average score Write a program that uses loops to collect data and calculate the average score over a number of tests for a number of students. The program should : 1. first ask the user to enter the number of students in the range of 1 to 10. 2. then the program asks the user to enter the number of tests (in the range of 1 to 5) 3. Then use a loop to collect the scores for those many tests for each student. The outer loop will iterate once for each student. The inner loop will iterate several times, once for each test. Each iteration of the inner loop will ask the user to enter the score for a test of a student. 3. After all iterations, the program should calculates and display the total scores and average score for each student.arrow_forwardQuestion: Average score Write a program that uses loops to collect data and calculate the average score over a number of tests for a number of students. A loop in the program should ask the user for the employee number, gross pay, state tax, federal tax, and FICA withholdings. The loop will terminate when 0 is entered for the employee number. After the date is entered, the program should display totals for gross pay, state tax, federal tax, FICA withholdings, and net pay.arrow_forward
- A bug collector collects bugs every day for seven days. Design a solution that keeps a running total of the number of bugs collected during the seven days. The loop should ask for the number of bugs collected for each day, and when the loop is finished, the program should display the total number of bugs collected.arrow_forwardSelling a new vehicle pays a salesperson $1500. Selling a used vehicle pays a commission of 5% of the selling price. Write an interactive program that calculates a salesperson's total pay for selling two vehicles, each one of any type. The program should prompt the salesperson to enter the type and selling price of each vehicle. Do not use a loop. The program should then display the salesperson's total sales and total pay. Express these amounts in currency format as described in the requirements above.arrow_forwardSelling a new vehicle pays a salesperson $1500.
