Chapter 5, Problem 24RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The functions of the subcutaneous tissue.
Introduction:
Skin is the largest sensory organ of the integumentary system but has less complexity. It consists of 7% of the total weight of the body and 20 square feet area. It protects the body from toxic elements and foreign particles. It helps in the regulation of body temperature and also allows the sensations such as heat, cold, and touch.
