Introduction: Kidneys are one of the major excretory organs of a human body. The kidneys remove urea and other salts from the blood in the form of urine. The basic functional unit of kidneys is the nephron. Each nephron has two functional parts. The filtration happens in the renal corpuscle. The filtrate later passes through the renal tubule, where most of the products are reabsorbed.
