Question
Chapter 42, Problem 7TYU
Summary Introduction
Introduction: Highly developed human brain, along with the spinal cord make up the central nervous system. Main function of the spinal cord is to transmit impulses from the brain to the other parts of the body and from the other parts of the body to the brain. Controlling reflex activities is another function performed by the spinal cord. When an involuntary motor response towards an external stimulus takes place, it is known as a reflex action. When a neural circuit having three types of neurons responds to a stimulus, it is known as withdrawal reflex.
