To determine:
Three main functions of female reproductive system.
Introduction:
Reproductive system is a group of organs which are involved in production of the gamete and process of implantation of a fetus and its development. The male reproductive system is involved in the production of sperm and delivery of the sperm in female system. The female reproductive system produces ovum and serve as a site of fertilization and implantation in humans.
Explanation of Solution
Three main functions of the female reproductive system as follows:
- Production of egg: the production of egg is important function of the female reproductive system.
- Production of female hormones: the production of female hormone, that is estrogen and progesterone is another function of female system.
- Provide environment for fertilization and gestation: female reproductive system is the place which provide the space for implantation of developing fetus.
