Introduction:

In human body, blood is a fluid connective tissue, which transports nutrients and waste product in the body. The blood flows in a dense network of vessels, called blood vessels.

Explanation of Solution

The composition of blood and their characteristics are given as follows:

Blood Component	Characteristics
Plasma	It is the liquid part of the blood, which is primarily composed of water. The blood cells are suspended in this fluid and it has dissolved nutrients, proteins, hormones and other electrolytes.
Red blood cells	They are biconcave anucleate cells. It contains hemoglobin, which is mainly involved in transport of respiratory gases.
White blood cells	They are the immune cells of the body and responsible for carrying out different actions for fighting pathogens.
Platelets	These are small fragments of the cells that helps in clotting of the blood.
