Introduction:

The circulatory system of the body is made up of heart and the blood vessels. The main function of this system is to transport the nutrients and oxygen to all the cells of the body and carry away the by-products of metabolism for elimination.

Explanation of Solution

The blood is the fluid connective tissue which is composed of plasma, white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, and proteins. The plasma is a clear yellowish fluid that comprise more than 50% of blood.

When the blood reaches to the small intestine, it delivers oxygen and takes up nutrients from the digested food along with carbon dioxide. This blood travels through different parts of the body carrying nutrients. So, by the blood the nutrients are delivered to the different parts of body including, heart, lungs, brain, liver etc.
