Chapter 34, Problem 15TYK
Summary Introduction
To determine: The factors that contribute to tropical rain forest diversity.
Concept introduction: Tropical rainforests have no dry season with average of 60 mm precipitation each month. The soil is typically poor of the tropical rain forest but the rainfall and high temperature results in fast decomposition and liberation of nutrients. However the nutrients are either taken up by the flourishing vegetation or get washed due to recurrent raining.
