Concept explainers
To analyze:
Competitive behaviors by describing the survival benefits of each behavior.
Introduction:
The interaction between species or organisms where both the parties are harmed is termed as competition. The main cause of competition between two species or organisms is limited availability of survival
Explanation of Solution
Interference − This type of competition occurs directly between two individuals in form of aggression. Here, an organism interferes with the ability of another organism, so that later cannot enter the territory of former organism and use their resources.
Exploitative − This is a kind of indirect competition in which limiting resources act as the intermediate.
Apparent − This type of competition occurs between two species in an indirect manner. In this, the species are preyed upon by the predators.
