Explanation of Solution

There are certain characteristics of the living organisms. These characters are listed below:

  • All organisms are made up of cells. Humans also have cells as their basic unit of life many cells together makes u the whole human body.
  • Living organism can respond to the external stimuli. Humans can respond to different stimuli, for example removal of hand after touching a hot surface.
  • They grow and divide. Humans grow from a single cell zygote to an adult, the cells are continuously dividing ensuring proper growth and repair.
  • They have ability to reproduce and produce progeny similar to them. Humans also have the ability to reproduce.
  • They perform locomotion and movement by themselves. Humans can move using their limbs.
  • They are capable of performing all the metabolic processes necessary for their survival. There are many metabolic activities that takes place in each cell of the body.
  • They require nutrition to survive and obtain it from various sources. Humans depend on plant and other animals as a source of food, which is necessary to perform daily activities.
