Summary Introduction
The infections which are transmitted through sexual contact are referred to as STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) or STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Human papilloma viral infection, genital herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, and AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) are most of the common types of STIs. The STI caused by chlamydia, human papillomavirus, trichomoniasis, and herpesvirus is found to be more prevalent amongst sexually active adults.
