Introduction:
Neonatal meningitis occurs when the bacteria colonize the birth canal of the mother of the developing fetus. Some of the causative organisms of the neonatal meningitis are Streptococcus pneumoniae, Neisseria meningitidis, and Haemophilus influenza. Most of the mothers have the antibodies against them and so these organisms are not successful in causing meningitis to the fetus in most of the cases.
