Introduction :
Metamorphism is the process of change in the body form during the life cycle of some of the animals. There are two types of metamorphism; complete metamorphism and incomplete metamorphism. The complete metamorphism consists of stages; egg, larva, pupa, and adult while in incomplete metamorphism egg, nymph, and adult stages are present. The difference in both the type of metamorphism is that the complete metamorphism has active larva and inactive pupa but the incomplete metamorphism has nymph that resembles a miniature adult where the only difference is the presence of wings in adult.
Explanation of Solution
In the given terms, nymph is given for complete metamorphism, instead it should be larva and pupa. The complete metamorphism consists of stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult stages. Complete metamorphism has active larva and inactive pupa. The complete metamorphism takes place in wasp, fleas, and ants.
Thecomplete metamorphism consist of stages; egg, larva, pupa, and adult stages. Nymph is found in incomplete metamorphism.
