Question
Chapter 25, Problem 3CR
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The changes in the vocal folds during higher-pitched sound, lower-pitched sound, and a louder sound.
Introduction:
The sound production originates when the vocal folds begin to vibrate. This occurs when the intrinsic laryngeal muscles narrow the opening of the rima glottidis. The air is forced to exit the vocal cords during an exhalation.
