Introduction:

Composites are made by combining one or more materials with a synthetic polymer.

Advantages of using composites are:

1. They form very strong materials which increases durability.
2. The materials are lightweight so they can move easily.
3. Composite materials are resistant to corrosion hence they remain strong for a long time.

Disadvantages of using composites are:

1. Composites are brittle when compared to metals.
2. Composites can be expensive due to cost of materials used and manufacturing process.
3. The layers of materials put together to form a composite can break over longer periods of time.

Conclusion:

Composites are strong, lightweight and durable but can be expensive.
