Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Lipid is a biomolecule. There are different classes of lipids that act as energy fuel and also play other roles in different parts of a cell. The common class of lipids is triglyceride, which is made up of fatty acids and glycerol. The process of synthesis of fatty acid or fatty acid anabolism is called lipogenesis. Acetyl CoA molecules obtained by the means of glycolysis is converted to fatty acid, whereas other products from glycolytic reactions are used to form glycerol.
