Introduction:

Coccidioides causes a condition known as valley flower. Hyphae of this fungus separate into thick-walled arthrospores at maturity. Under the favorable condition, arthrospore germinates into parasitic phase. This parasitic phase swells and forms giant sporangium to form spores which appears similar to endospores.
