Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: For the molecular formula ${\text{C}}_{\text{8}}{\text{H}}_{\text{9}}\text{Cl}$, all aromatic compounds should be drawn

Concept introduction:

Compounds that have the same molecular formula but different in the bond connectivity between the atoms is called constitutional isomers.

The molecular formula ${\text{C}}_{\text{8}}{\text{H}}_{\text{9}}\text{Cl}$ is similar to the molecular formula $C_8{H}_{10}$ but one of the hydrogen atoms has been replaced with a chlorine atom.

All aromatic compounds with the molecular formula ${\text{C}}_{\text{8}}{\text{H}}_{\text{9}}\text{Cl}$ can be draw by drawing the all constitutional isomers for the molecular formula $C_8{H}_{10}$ that contain an aromatic ring and in each skeleton chlorine atom should be placed at the different position.
