Explanation of Solution

Introduction:

The principle of equivalence relates the Newton’s law of inertia and Einstein’s law of gravitation and explains the similarity between them.

Based on the General relativitytheory, the equivalence principle is the equivalence of force of gravity and inertial force. As the Newton law explains that an object continues to move because of inertia force until any external force is applied on it. In similar way, based on the Einstein’s law of gravity, an object falling from a height keeps on moving down until any external force is applied. Thus, the equivalence principle shows the similarity between the force gravity and the force of inertia.

Conclusion:

Principle of equivalence shows the similar nature between the gravitational force and inertial forces.
