Interpretation: The steps for determining the number of moles when solutions are mixed to produce a reaction has to be stated.
Concept introduction: Solution is mixture in which all components are uniformly distributed. Any solution has 2 substances: solute and solvent. For formation of solution compatibility between solute and solvent is required. Example is salt solution and sugar solution.

- Then moles of reactant involved are determined.
- Limiting reactant is identified.

- Using conversion factors moles obtained are converted to grams or other units.
