Chapter 14, Problem 6MCQ
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The primary mode of locomotion used by most of the bird species is flying. Flight helps birds in feeding, breeding, avoiding predators, and migrating. Birds are hugely diverse with more than 10000 extant species distributed across the world and being able to fly opens up a whole new range of habits and lifestyles. A flyer can seek food from the top of the trees and airborne insects. Flying is the most demanding form of locomotion and requires a lot of energy.
